Sergey Stepanyan
Sergey Stepanyan is a bright young representative of the bass voice. Sergey Stepanyan was born in Yerevan in 1996. He started his musical career in 2010 with a concert program in London, UK and in 2011 he entered the Tchaikovsky Special Music School in Yerevan. After graduating from the music school in 2014 he continued to hone his skills at Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, entering the vocal department in 2017 and in the same year he studied at the Accademia Lirica Internazionale di Arte Lirica in Osimo, Italy. In 2018 Sergey Stepanyan participates in the international festival of young artists iSING! in China performing in such places as Zhengyici Peking Opera Theater, Suzhou Science & Cultural Arts Centre and Shanghai Symphony Orchestra Hall. In 2019 he graduated from the Komitas State Conservatory with a Master's degree and began his concert activities, performing with orchestras such as the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Krasnoyarsk Academic Symphony Orchestra, the Kaunas Philharmonic Orchestra and others, as well as performing under such outstanding conductors as Eduard Topchjan, Vladimir Lande, Mikhail Granovsky, Dmitry Yurovsky, Constantine Orbelian, Benjamin Reiners and others.
Sergey Stepanyan has played many roles, among them as Zuniga in Bizet's "Carmen", as Tom in Verdi's "Un ballo in maschera", as Colline in Puccini's "La Boheme", as Sarastro in Mozart's "The Magic Flute", the role of Timur in Verdi's "Turandot", the role of the King of Egypt in Verdi's "Aida" and other roles.
