Andreas Pittler
Andreas Pittler was born in 1964 in Vienna. He studied history and political science and received his master's and doctoral degrees. After working as a historian for several years, he became a journalist. Since 1985 he has published 60 books. These include biographies of Bruno Kreisky, Monty Python, Rowan Atkinson, and Samuel Beckett, and he has also published books on the history of Cyprus, Malta and the Czech Republic. In 2000, his first novel, “Summer of Great Expectations”, appeared Andreas Pittler became famous for his Bronstein–Series, which landed regularly in the bestselling lists and is translated into seven foreign languages so far. He was nominated for several prizes and got the “Decoration of Honour for Services” to the Republic of Austria. In 2016 he was promoted “Professor” by the federal president of Austria.
