Mariana Bodnar
To her real profession that is, singing, Maryana Bodnar, like many people, did not come immediately. At first, the young woman studied very well in Kiev as a culture expert and received a master’s degree. Then she achieved heights in journalism. But she decided to give up her successful career and go for vocals. After all, as it turned out, it was the love of music that was her mission and future job.She graduated from the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy in Kiev. Already at the beginning of her studies and singing career, she won the Prize III at the International Singing Competition “XXI Century”. Significant roles in her work were Tatyana in Tchaikovsky’s opera “Eugene Onegin”, Oksana’s role in Gulak-Artemovsky’s opera “Cossack Beyond the Danube” and Annina’s role in Verdi’s magnificent “La Traviata”.
